Joshua Brown
Hunted by Scott Adams
When Lockheed Martin zoomed in
When they came looking for details
When their minds were enfrazzeled
With the doldrums of hail
When the monsters were hunted
When they fled from their homes
When they died in the morning
By the guns that they’d grown
Bombs and explosions
And the pain that they shed
On the heads of the soldiers
That they sent to be dead
Little white children
(The boys and the men)
Sent straight to the frontline
(To be flushed from their den)
But faintly and softly
In the middle of day
When the captains and gen’rals
Where all fagging and gay
The women, in furor
Cast upon in a feign
To distract from the slaughter
To enact a new reign
Against all the captors
Who enslaved and ensnared
By lies; I was list’ning
For the signal on chaired
We ran and we rustled
We gamed in their daze
At the shock they had suffered
By the loss of their maze
The hunters were hunted.
